Free Intro Workout

Pam J. was looking for an efficient way to gain strength as she aged and heard about Discover Strength through her daughter. Read her story today!

“I started exercising regularly when I retired at the age of 65 and joined an all-women’s gym. I attended classes and occasionally worked with a trainer. I made progress on increasing my strength but it took several hours a week. My daughter recommended Discover Strength, suggesting I would see greater benefits. I am a caregiver for my husband so sessions taking only 30 minutes were my first incentive to try Discover Strength. I was HOOKED after the first session on the type of workout. Working with medical-grade exercise machines as my trainer guides me through each workout provides motivation as well as expertise. Each workout routine is based on what my goals are. Every 20 sessions I do a progress set to see how much I have accomplished with the 2 rotating workouts for those sessions. I am always amazed how much I have progressed each time. My trainer then creates the next 2 rotating workouts based on my goals and areas that I want to improve on.

I started with Discover Strength in the fall of 2020 at the age of 68. I had just had a bone density scan done. I needed to improve my bone density to decrease my chances of fractures. I attended one session a week for 1 & 1/2 years. For the last 9 months, I have done 6 sessions a month. This fall I repeated my bone density scan. With my workouts at Discover Strength being my only exercise besides walking I have at the age of 70 increased my bone density by 6%! This is an incredible feat. At the same time, I was increasing my stamina, energy, health, and overall quality of life. Truly remarkable!

With the strength, balance, and flexibility I have gained from my time with Discovery Strength, I am stronger as I age keeps me younger both physically and mentally. At 70 I am proud to be an example of owning your destiny, building strength, and living life to its fullest every day.”
