A question what we get from clients is, “what is the optimal body fat percentage for me?” Well, it really depends on where you’re looking. The American College of Sports Medicine would tell you that, for a few years now, it’s going to be 20%-35% for females and 10-22% for males. Frankly these numbers are not very helpful at all. What we should be focusing on is how to get from point A to point B. How do I take my 43% body fat and get it down to 38% body fat and not so much what is my optimal level. What you should be focused on is maximizing your genetic potential. Your genetic potential might be above or below those norms so what you should be focused on is progress toward your genetic potential.
My name is , Gregory Lee and I found you through a friend who is beginning to train with you in a day or so . Her name is Kim Lambert.; my old boss, and longtime friend. I have been talking to her about negative accentuated training for quite some time. I am a CPT, Senior Fitness Specialist, Health Coach, and Fitness and Nutrition Specialist through NASM and ACE. In addition I also compete in the Senior Games of Minnesota in sprinting, and the long jump. My goal is to set a world record in both events for my age group after I turn 70. I am 68, I started as a freshman for Gustavus Adolphus College winning the MI AC championship, have competed and continue to train, teach and compete in Jiu Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do, and MMA. The three other things that make me unusual are that I am in Graduate School at the University of Wisconsin in Clinical Exercise Physiology, and have a Graduate level Certificate in Holistic Health from St. Catherine University, I am one of 48 people in the world who no longer has Type One Diabetes due to the creative and innovative management system I developed based on the work of Dr. Richard Bernstein and an islet cell transplant from an experimental procedure at the request of the University of Minnesota. In addition my largest public presentation on this procedure representing the University of Minnesota at the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) at the invitation of Dr. Harvey Arbit ( past president of SOCRA and chair of the Pharmacy Department) at the University of Denver, Colorado to over 1,200 MD’s and PhD’s at the annual meeting of SOCRA as the Plenary Speaker. What makes me especially unusual is a couple of other items: I have both followed and used the work of Dr. Ellington Darden and Arthur Jones for well over 30 years, recently hired a personal trainer to push me as I continue to follow “the negative path” in my life I have followed for “oh so many years!” I am greatly pleased that someone has found a way to monetize this information and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you as I always want to hear more and would love to be an advocate for your organization. 612-323-8210.
Sincerely,
Gregory’ A. Lee
That would be just fine with me . I applaud your work and have nothing to gain by doing so!😇
This is the type of workout I have been following and doing for nearly thirty years as Dr. Ellington Darden has been a hero of mine for some time , but not so strenuously as I have been at Discover! I have trained most of my life in one sport or another and still compete in track and field, mixed martial arts, Tae Kwon Do, and Jiu Jitsu. I am a very unusual 68 year old man. I am enrolled at the University of Wisconsin River Falls starting this fall in Clinical Exercise Physiology, have multiple designations from NASM and ACE (Certified Personal Trainer, Senior Fitness Specialist, Health Coach, and Fitness and Nutrition Specialist). In addition I have a Masters level Certificate in Holistic Health from st. Catherine University. I started as a freshman at corner back for M.I.A.C. Champion Gustavus Adolphus College, was the football captain of the Twin City and 1967 State Champion Minneapolis Washburn High School football team starting the longest unbeaten streak in Minnesota history of over 60 games, which still stands to this day. I also speak on behalf of the University of Minnesota regarding the islet cell transplant program at this University. I had Type One Diabetes for 27.5 years before enrolling and completing this experimental research project some 8 plus years ago. I have been insulin free two days after having the transplant. I have been waiting for someone to monetize the work of Arthur Jones and Dr. Darden for a very long time before discovering “Discover Strength”. Do your self a favor and try a free workout. I guarantee you have never experienced a workout like this nor have you garnered the results possible with this style of exercise over your lifetime. It truly is revolutionary and extremely time efficient: 30 minutes 2x perweek.
